Realistic Look

With the 1.75-inch yarn height of the polyethylene fibers that make up the synthetic lawn, you’ll receive a product that closely resembles natural grass. Our fake grass for backyard materials include a thatch pattern, which provides added body. This also reduces the amount of infill required.

The primary backing is a polypropylene plastic that provides the anchor for the individual yarns of the astroturf yard, holding them in place tightly.

We recommend that you use a silica sand as the infill base material for our astroturf yard when installed outside. You then can just roll the outdoor turf over the top of the sand to create the exact look you want in a fake grass for backyard product. For an indoor installation, you can glue or tape down the turf.

Maintenance is easy for the outdoor turf, as you can just rinse it with water. Rainwater will often take care of the cleaning process for you automatically with an outdoor installation. To fluff up matted fibers, you can use a broom or rake.
