Premium high color interlocking rubber athletic and gym floor tile Eureka Rubber Gym Tiles 90% Color 8 mm x 23×23 Inch. This rubber floor tile for high end installations is avaiable in two colors. The rubber athletic gym floor tile are 23×23 inches in size and are available in all center tiles.
These premium tiles typically appear in athletic facilities and gymnasiums, but customers can install them in a home gym as well.
Size and Shape Options
Our flexible workout tiles measure almost 2×2 feet, carrying precise dimensions of 23×23 inches.
These gray rubber flooring tiles measure 8mm in thickness (or about 5/16 inches). For rubber flooring, this is an ideal thickness for supporting weightlifting sessions involving dumbbells and for using fitness machines.
A single tile weighs 7.7 pounds, which allows one person to carry a few tiles to the installation area and to work on the layout alone. However, the process goes faster with multiple people.
Material Options
Our gray rubber flooring consists of a high quality of rubber. Even when used underneath fitness equipment and in areas of high foot traffic, this rubber will maintain its look and give you a good value over time. These tiles carry a 5-year limited manufacturer warranty.
The EPDM rubber, short for ethylene propylene diene monomer, offers the ability to introduce multiple other colors to the black base color found with most types of rubber flooring.
EPDM is also a highly shock absorbent type of rubber, which makes it especially good for installation in a gym setting.
Pattern and Texture Options
Our tiles are available in a few different color options. These tiles have a black base color, but because of the 90% color fleck concentration, the other colors become the primary design element on the tiles. Unlike most rubber tiles, the black color seems like an accent color with these Eureka tiles.
- Dark Grey: These tiles primarily have dark grey flecks over the top with lighter concentrations of light gray and black flecks, creating a sharp-looking gray rubber flooring.
- Mocha Latte: These tiles will remind you of a creamy cup of coffee, using rich brown flecks as the primary color, complemented with accents of tan and black color flecks.
- Steel Appeal: These tiles have a primary color of gray that almost resembles silver. Accent color flecks include white and black in this gray rubber flooring.
Common Use Options
The majority of customers will install these gray color fleck tiles in a workout area or a gymnasium. They are able to give athletes a little bit of cushioning, so they can protect their lower body joints while exercising. Additionally, rubber provides traction, so the athletes will not slip.
Rubber flooring works in areas like:
- Weightlifting areas with dumbbells
- Conditioning areas
- Cardio areas
- Underneath spin machines
- Underneath treadmills
- Underneath step machines
- Underneath rowing machines
The rubber creates a cushioned layer that protects the subfloor from the weight of the workout equipment in use. It also creates an area of traction for the exercise machines, so they will not slide around as athletes are using them.
Installation Options
To install the mats, start in the center of the room. Connect two mats together by aligning the slots on one mat with the tabs on the mat next to it. Then press the edges together, locking the two mats in place.
Installers should not need to add glue to the interlocking edges to hold them together. The edges fit tightly enough to remain connected, even when placed under significant stress.
Installers can dry lay the tiles in a wall-to-wall installation, and they should remain in place without sliding around. Installers also could glue the tiles to the subfloor for a permanent installation.
Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements
To keep our gray rubber flooring clean and in the best working condition, customers can use a variety of techniques. Before using any of these techniques, customers should sweep the tiles with a broom or vacuum them.
- Post-installation cleaning: After installing the tiles, use a medium concentration of e-cleaner product mixed with water. Use a mop or a soft nylon brush to apply the cleaner.
- Daily cleaning: For cleaning the rubber flooring on a daily basis, use the e-cleaner mixed with water in a light concentration. Use a mop or a soft nylon brush.
- Spot cleaning: Use an e-cleaner or e-strip product to remove heavy soils and stubborn spots on the rubber flooring. Use a heavy concentration of the cleaner with water.
If there is an excessive amount of cleaning solution on the flooring, you can remove the standing moisture with a wet/dry vacuum. Otherwise, allow the moisture to dry naturally over a few hours. Bring a fan into the area to speed up the drying process. Do not use heat.
